Justin, Kim & Hunter

I have to tell you a story about Kim. She is one of the sweetest women I have ever met. For reals. We met at the New Parent group at Sutter and one day a small group of us planned to take our newborns on a nature walk at Henry Cowell State Park. On our way home from that outing, I was hit by man who had had a seizure at the wheel. He collided with the back driver's side of my car, wrenching my back tire out from under my car and pinched Hadley's door closed so it could't be opened. He proceeded to collide with the car behind me and then a wall. Miraculously no one was seriously injured, not even the driver. Kim was driving up right behind me as it happened and I will never forget the look on her face as she ran towards me. I wasn't crying until I saw her face. She stayed with me for hours waiting for my husband to come pick me up, to talk with police, and offer comfort in my complete shock. I'll never forget her selflessness and caring. I know she would say that anyone would do what she did, but it still meant the world to me. Moving away from the Bay Area meant moving away from all these beautiful connections I made since the girls were born, but I am so glad that I got to come back and photographer her beautiful family last weekend. Her son, Hunter, is turning into such a handsome little man, and I hope we can get together again soon <3
